Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Untangle mobile application (the "Service"). By using Untangle, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

Untangle takes voice notes you record and uses third-party AI services to transcribe them and extract structured action plans (tasks, follow-up messages, reminders, and so on). The Service is provided as-is. We don't promise it will always be available, accurate, or free of bugs.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe. You must be at least 13 years old to use Untangle. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.

Acceptable use

By using Untangle, you agree NOT to:

• Upload audio that you don't have the right to record (e.g. conversations recorded without consent where consent is required by law).
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, credit caps, or security mechanisms (including App Check, authentication, or storage access controls).
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source of the Service beyond what's permitted by applicable law.
• Use automated systems to record voice notes en masse.

Content

You retain ownership of the content you upload (your audio, transcripts, and plans). By uploading, you grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service to you (transcribe it, extract a plan, store it for your history).

We do not use your content to train AI models. Audio is sent to OpenAI for transcription and transcripts are sent to Anthropic for plan extraction; both providers' API terms forbid use of API inputs for training.

Credits and payment

Each voice note you process consumes one credit. Failed processing automatically refunds the credit. New accounts receive a starter balance. Credit purchases, subscriptions, or other paid features (if introduced) will be governed by additional terms presented at the time of purchase.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, the data deletion process described in our Privacy Policy applies.

Disclaimers

UNTANGLE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT TRANSCRIPTIONS OR EXTRACTED PLANS WILL BE ACCURATE. DO NOT RELY ON UNTANGLE FOR LIFE-CRITICAL OR HIGH-STAKES DECISIONS WITHOUT INDEPENDENT VERIFICATION.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Untangle and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
